After the wonderful time we had last year, I have arranged a two day/one-night short break to Norfolk this November to see a matinee performance of the totally unique, utterly sensational and quite simply amazing Thursford Christmas Spectacular. It is the largest and most popular Christmas Show in England. A delightful pre-Christmas experience guaranteed to leave you full of magical festive memories! We have overnight half-board accommodation at the welcoming 4* Sprowston Manor Hotel & Country Club, Norwich plus visits to Ickworth House, an Italianate palace in the heart of Suffolk and the charming historic market town of Bury St. Edmunds.

The Thursford Christmas Spectacular is a pageant of colour, spectacle, and music. Set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, with a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians – many of whom are West End performers. The three-hour performance delivers an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a true celebration of the festive season.

There are two refreshment areas which sell light snacks, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, ciabatta’s, hot lunches, a selection of deserts, hot, cold and alcoholic drinks.

Sprowston Manor Hotel & Country Club, Norwich. The Hotel features a world-class golf course, spa, disabled access, wi-fi, lift, indoor swimming pool, gym, restaurant, bar, with guest rooms offering a seamless blend of historic elegance and modern comfort including en-suite facilities, tea / coffee makings, television and a telephone. Its Christmas tree display is wonderful too!
