About the event

A 4* holiday to Jersey in the Channel Islands

Staying in one of the island’s best hotels with panoramic beach views and with a wonderful itinerary for a truly memorable holiday!

The 4* Hotel Cristina.

The hotel is boutique and family run, located above the bay of St. Aubin and has stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. Unfortunately, there is no lift, but there are only limited steps with 11 being the maximum amount at any one time. There is a sense of tranquillity you will love when you stay at the hotel, with spectacular views from the sun terrace and lounge and the bar area is warm and inviting. The hotel catches the sun all day long which makes the terrace a wonderful place to be, but even on cooler days, it is nice to pop on a cardigan and soak up the fresh sea air. There is an outside pool and gardens and a 12-minute walk to the beach (albeit downhill). Wi-Fi is available in all areas and is free of charge. There is a choice of balcony rooms overlooking St Aubin’s Bay and coastline or garden view rooms, all with bath / shower combination with lovely Elemis toiletries, television with digital channels, hairdryer and coffee / tea making facilities.

Full day coach tour of the Island.

With excellent live and informative commentary from your experienced coach driver you can sit back and enjoy the view from the comfort of your seat and appreciate all of Jersey’s stunning and diverse coastline. Departing from our hotel the full day tour visits St Aubin’s Bay, St Brelade’s Bay, Corbière Lighthouse, St Ouen’s Bay, the northern coastline, Gorey Harbour and returns via the varied and rugged east coast. Driving along the coast road you will have the perfect view of the island’s picturesque beaches and bays. Beaches in Jersey range from isolated coves to wide golden sandy beaches on the south and west coasts. Some of the roads are quite narrow but are no problem for the drivers. Make sure you have your camera to hand as we will be stopping for photo opportunities along the way and for refreshments where you can sample what the island has to offer.

La Mare Vineyard.

I have arranged a visit to La Mare Wine Estate which is Jersey’s only vineyard & distillery, there will be a guided tour plus wine tasting experience and genuine Jersey produce available to sample and buy, including Black Butter! But is it butter? They take immense pride in their exceptional vineyard and the artistry of winemaking that defines them. l have included a delicious cream tea at the end of the tour in their lovely café.

Jersey War Tunnels

You will not believe this happened on British soil. During World War II, the Crown left Jersey defenceless, and the island became occupied by German forces. Jersey War Tunnels are a product of five long years of occupation; they bore witness to the particular cruelty of the Nazi regime. Dug deep into the hillside by forced and slave workers from nations across Europe, they now contain an underground collection of thought-provoking exhibits that tell the fascinating story of Jersey’s occupation from resistance, through to starvation, then eventual liberation.

Two-hour boat cruise along the Jersey coastline.

We begin the cruise by boarding our boat in St Helier. We then cruise up close to the spectacular 16th century Elizabeth Castle and breakwater. From there we journey across St. Aubin’s Bay heading west, passing St. Aubin’s harbour along the way. You will see Jersey’s most southern point which is Noirmont Point and some of the stunning bays along the southwest coast, such as Portelet, Ouaisne and St. Brelade. We reach the spectacular Corbière Lighthouse, from where we begin our return journey to St. Helier. During our cruise you may be fortunate enough to see bottlenosed dolphins! Onboard there is plenty of seating, a fully stocked bar with light refreshments and snacks, as well as two toilets.

Free time in the capital St. Helier on Friday 9th May - Liberation Day!

You will have free time to explore St. Helier at your leisure to join in with the parades, the reenactments, listen to the live music and speeches, watch the dancing, visit the markets, purchase gifts and souvenirs, eat the marvellous crab or simply just enjoy the atmosphere!
