Another wonderful day out has been arranged to visit the beautiful Grade I listed Highclere Castle, or Downton Abbey as it is often thought of by many!

About the event

Our coach will depart from The Barming Bull bus stop at 9am, the bus stop opp. Crown City, Teston at 9.05am and the Wateringbury Hotel  bus stop at 9.10am., Hadlow Square bus stop at 9.20am, Hadlow Road bus stop (junction with Orchard Drive) at 9.30am, Rose and Crown  bus stop, High St. Tonbridge at 9.35am and the Tonbridge Railway Station bus stop at 9.40am. 


Returning to the Villages about 7pm. 


 

A day out has been arranged to visit the magnificent Grade I listed building, Highclere Castle, better known from the ITV  Sunday evening television series as Downton Abbey on Thursday 23rd July.


Step back in time and immerse yourself in the splendour of aristocratic  life as you explore the iconic estate that captivated many television audiences around the world.


This outing is a real treat,  not only for fans of the television programme, but for all, as you explore the castle that was originally built back in 1679 or  wander the beautiful 5000-acre grounds designed by Capability Brown.


Entrance to the Egyptian Exhibition is included as  well as the stately home and gardens.


There is a gift shop and tearooms on site, for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Admission to Highclere Castle, Gardens and Egyptian Exhibition for a self-guided tour at your own pace.
