About the event
"What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play. Life is a Cabaret, old chum, come to the Cabaret. Put down the knitting, the book and the broom. It's time for a holiday. Life is a Cabaret, old chum, come to the Cabaret”.
In 1931 Berlin, a young, openly promiscuous American, Sally Bowles, performs at the Kit Kat Klub. A new British arrival in the city, Brian Roberts, moves into the boarding house where Sally lives. A reserved academic and writer, Brian must give English lessons to earn a living while completing his doctorate. Cabaret contains risqué content and explores themes of sexuality and decadence within the context of pre-WWII Berlin. The Kit Kat Club at the Playhouse Theatre is celebrated by many for its immersive, atmospheric experience and high-quality performances, making it a must-see. Set in a 1930's Berlin nightclub ambiance, the venue captivates with pre-show engaging performers and interactive elements.
