Preston Manor and Brighton's Royal Pavilion £93 Routes A and B

This is a day out not to be missed! From the Edwardian upstairs-downstairs (and ghosts!) to Regency splendour and Wildlife Photography!

Date, First Departure & Route

22 May 2026, 08:20

Routes A and B, Brighton Pavilion

About the event

We begin our day with morning refreshments at Preston Manor followed by a guided tour of this fascinating venue. Preston Manor has a history stretching back to the 1200s. Today, it is a museum showcasing Edwardian-era life and is reported to be one of Britain’s most haunted properties!

Our coach will then take us the short distance to the magnificent Royal Pavilion. The Royal Pavilion was constructed as the seaside pleasure palace of King George IV and has seen many twists and turns throughout its long history, converted from farmhouse into seaside retreat then spectacular palace with an Indian-inspired exterior and extravagant Eastern-style interiors and later serving as a military hospital during World War I.

For lunch, we are booked in at the stylish North Star pub inspired by Graham Greene’s Brighton Rock – a place of warmth, laughter, great food, and delicious drinks – all with a refreshing difference as behind the bar, in the kitchen, and serving tables, there are people with learning disabilities and autism navigating the world of work. Growing their confidence and their futures.

Once refreshed, we will visit the incredible Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition amongst other delights at the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, just a two-minute walk from the restaurant.

Our coach will depart from The Barming Bull bus stop at 8.20am, Teston bus stop (opp. Crown City) at 8.25am, Wateringbury Hotel bus stop at 8.30am, Hadlow Square bus stop at 8.40am, Orchard Drive junction bus stop at 8.50am, Rose and Crown bus stop at 9am and Tonbridge Station at 9.10am

Returning to the Villages about 7.30pm.
