About the event
A coach outing has been arranged to see an Olivier Award winning irrepressible new British musical about one of World War Two’s most bizarre moments. The Fortune Theatre is located near Covent Garden and is one of London’s smallest venues, which instils a sense of both atmosphere and intimacy. The year is 1943 and we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse. Operation Mincemeat - the musical is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler? With excellent seating in the stalls to see the 3 pm. matinee performance. There will be time to enjoy Covent Garden before the show begins to have lunch, do some shopping, enjoy the street entertainers or sightsee.
Our coach will depart from East Peckham village centre bus stop at 9.20am, Hadlow Square bus stop at 9.30am, Hadlow Road bus stop (junction with Orchard Drive) at 9.40am, Rose and Crown bus stop, High St. Tonbridge at 9.50am and the Tonbridge railway Station bus stop at 10am.
Returning to the Villages about 7pm.
